I have a four wheel drive Bongo that uses a lot of fuel. I have written to the bongo forum, and had two replies they drive with the back two wheels until they begin to slip in bad weather and then the front wheels engage to help out, they seem to think the viscose joint that controls this action is seized on so the it will always be in 4 wheel drive, can anybody help does this sound pheasable and if the joint is seized wears the best place to get a new one from, or at lease a good second hand one
Thank you in advance!

Hi what is the MPG figures? , you can check the Viscose Coupling for seizure by trying to rotate one of the front wheels, or disconnecting the front prop shaft. If you are not too bothered about four wheel drive you can remove the gubbins. .

If figures are accurate you need to have a look at the engine also, Checking air filter inlet manifold etc etc.
